Today was an eight-miler. I was getting all ready to go running when the lightning and thunder started. I thought, "Oh, I can run in the rain;" but my mom mentioned that New Mexico is the number one state in the union for lightning strikes and said "it only takes one." I reconsidered.
The Tour de France is going on now and it was nice to watch all those bicyclists on TV while I worked out! It made me feel like I, too, was going all over France on a bike. And, after two hours on that thing, I was beginning to feel it all over -- hips, calves, knees... even my arms were unhappy. Two drenched cut-off shirts and four water bottles later, I was praising God for getting me through. He NEVER fails.
"All glory to Him, both now and forever! Amen." 2 Peter 3:18 NLT
